Review:
This European release is a wonderful 5 CD-R commercially released set from Doberman, who sometimes releases glass mastered discs; and sometimes CD-R's. The package is a thick jewel case holding 5 discs, and a 4 page fold out sleeve. The two color booklet contains great looking photos and info. The paper disc labels each have the same nice looking photo of Dylan, but each has been tinted a different color to identify it. The sound quality varies slightly throughout the seventeen different venues, but overall it would have to be rated excellent digital stereo recordings. The set represents some of the best highlights of the Euro tour with a brilliantly arranged set of bonus tracks. Of course, the main emphasis, and set highlight; is the glorious Prague show from March 11. There is an extended write up about this show in Clinton Heylin's Behind The Shades. It seems that the first show of 1995 was scheduled for the 10th, but Dylan had the flu. On the following day, He's still not up to playing guitar on this rescheduled event, and concentrates on vocals and harp alone. The result is simply breathtaking.
