Review:
This is the first CD release of material that has circulated among collectors for over two decades. Rattle Snake continues their  commitment to quality releases with this great sounding and beautiful looking package.  The photos are incredible, and the 14 page booklet sends this one over the top. The only complaint that could even be registered is that RS's rear tray liners are made from a very thin paper stock that doesn't hold up well. If you need to scan it or transfer it to another jewel case, be very cautious of the perforations, as they tend to separate. As for the recording, it is very good quality, but a little stiff as to performance. Dylan and the band set up in the historic Beverly Theater, where Bob resurrects Shelter From The Storm and prepares for the debut of Man Of Peace and I and I. The title track is from the working title of a song that Bob toyed with during rehearsals, but never recorded or performed live It's nice to have the bulk of the rehearsal on one 78 minute disc.© 2009 CD Pinkerton - bobsboots.com
