Review:
A very nice effort from this new Label. The package inserts all include black and white photos, but they have been printed with touches of color which gives the package a classy look... as if the black and white were used as an artful expression, rather than a money saving device. The fonts are clean and sharp, making for a very appealing release. The biggest surprise here, however, is the recording. It is audience, and slightly removed from the stage, but it is the best recording that has yet surfaced from the Toronto show. It definitely has a live, heavy bottom end feel to it, reflecting the crowd placement and the analog equipment of the day. It's also nice to have The Band performances that haven't always circulated together with the Dylan portion. The Band is performing in their hometown tonight, and the crowd is responsive and supportive.
There are several highlights of the set, but the obvious by far is the namesake of this title. This is the only know live recording of  As I Went Out One Morning. It is slower and darker than the studio version and the recording ambiance adds to the foreboding. All in all, this is a highly recommended title.
