Review:
A great four CDR set with full color printed paper
labels that's all housed in a double thick jewel box package. The
photos from St. Andrews are
luxurious. The artist is listed as "Dr. Bob Dylan". Scotland's oldest
university, the University of St Andrews near Edinburgh made Dylan an
honorary doctor of music at its summer
graduation ceremony on June 23, 2004. This is only the
second degree Bob has accepted. The other being from Princeton in 1970
on the "day of the locusts." The paper labels themselves are beautifuly
printed
with alternate photos. The title plays well with the theme of Bob
receiving a degree. It's from the song This Wheel's On
Fire that Bob had played the previous day at Newcastle. This set
presents the entire concert from the Barrowland in Glasgow. This small
venue was perhaps the best show of the tour. The audience sang along
with a few of the songs, and they become stately anthems. The other 2½
discs are filled with alternate songs that were performed during the
two shows prior, and the two shows after the Barrowland. All in all,
Doberman has created a labor of love that well represents the 2004
United Kingdom tour.
