Review:
It is not the intention, nor will it ever be the purpose of bobsboots.com to include fan projects. However, if and when those fan projects become a silver disc release, the background information of how the release came about becomes historically important. Such is the case here. This title was assembled, engineered, mastered, tracked and synched by "JD Hawkins in Santa Cruz" as a personal project for Dylantree.com in 2002. It has been distributed throughout the world via Dylantree and BitTorrent. Along with the cover artwork was a disc artwork so that traders could print their own paper labels. In 2003, a Japanese Label copied the disc, designed a different cover, and released it as a silver master under the title of  The Lost Cover show of  2002.

Here is the statement released to Dylantree by JD Hawkins:
"I just finished essentially the 10th disc of the N.E.T. Tour covers (2001-2002) with one major difference. I mixed this disc to play like it was one continuous show of Bob performing these particular covers. After listening to the initial mixdown, it turned out much better than I originally expected. It really flows great, and the transitions between songs are close to flawless, in keeping with an attended concert. I was able to listen to and pick the best from this years concerts as examples. Carrying A Torch from San Diego has an incredible feeling, and to hear Bob sing "I say yeah yeah yeah WOOOOO" from Brown Sugar' at Red Bluff is pretty darn cool."
