This is an interesting, though far from essential title. The bulk of this show was officially released as Bob Dylan At Budokan. Songs found on the official release appear in italics. The quality here is not near as good. The first couple of songs are pretty bad. Sad, as this is the first appearance of the Tampa Red classic. As Dylan performed eight different nights at Budokan, the remainder of the songs on the CBS release were taken from the slightly better performed Feb 28 show. This practice of choosing songs from various shows for a compilation live LP is common within the industry. For the completeist and the purist, it's nice to have one complete Budokan show as it was performed. The package is wonderful. The jewel case comes in a beautiful presentation box that looks like a harmonica. Also included is a miniature tour program, and a concert ticket reproduction. The photos are great, and a nice looking collage is interestingly created on the inside of the jewel case when viewing the insert and tray liner together in the opened case. There were only 300 of these packages produced.
