Review:
This 1993 CD release is a copy of disc one of the 1988 release "Halloween Mask". Part two in this series is a copy of disc 2 of that title... the completion of the show. Philharmonic Hall 1964 is a 'must have' show, but this particular package wouldn't be my choice. The sound quality is quite good, but the package aesthetics are lame. The title is generic. There is no historical and/or venue info. The cover photo is cropped poorly, and then printed over for no reason. (If a title stated itself to be 'unauthorized', an early 90's loophole allowed the title to be legally sold in Australia; where this piece was manufactured and distributed through discount outlets.) The covers are a billboard type advertisement to try to sell the CD rather than a heartfelt effort to release a collectible piece. On top of everything, this show should never have been separated into two distinct titles. It deserves to have a great 2CD package

Show Review:
The Halloween show is one of the absolute 'must haves' for every collection. The show  is near perfection. Dylan is funny, charming, and powerful. The performance drips with the self confidence of a young man with the world at his feet. Every bit as captivating as '66 Manchester, and for my money; more enjoyable.
