Live Performances of the 60's Vol. III (History Series)
source: Finjan Club Tracks: Rocks and Gravel (Brownie McGhee) Quit Your Lowdown Ways He Was A Friend of Mine (Trad )* Let Me Die In My Footsteps Death Of Emmett Till Stealin' (Trad - Memphis Jug Band arr) Hiram Hubbard (Trad) Blowin' In The Wind * Traditional song that was registered to Bob Dylan in the US copyright office Review: The Finjan club recording is essential to even the smallest collection. This particular series, however, butchers it up a little. Two tracks were put on Vol. II. All package aesthetics in the series are identical and week. The CDs are far too short. The material could have been combined and compiled much better. It has been haphazardly stuck onto the discs with no mention as to the venue. This is one of the quasi-legit pieces that was quickly thrown out to the public, not for love of the artist; but for profit alone. Worst of all, the same company released this same disc with the totaly different title "Documents Vol 4". A much better choice would be the incredible Finjan Club by Yellow Dog.
