Background:
The six songs on this LP came from an 11 track alternate  'Highway 61 Revisited' CBS acetate that surfaced in New York in 1978. The origins and history of the acetate are unknown. 5 tracks were identical to the released versions. 'Can you please crawl out your window' and 'Desolation row' are earlier versions only discovered on this acetate. All other tracks are the CBS release tracks, but in very different mix and with longer endings.

Information:
This 1979 release is a very simple looking package. It came in a white, maroon, blue, or grey jacket with a black and white insert of a  1965 Daniel Kramer photo. The subtitle "I never talked to Bruce Springsteen" was an inside joke within the bootleg community. It started with a Patti Smith bootleg called "I never talked to Bob Dylan"
Blank labels. Unknown USA manufacturer. Probably 'East coast'. The simple package belies the incredible studio quality sound.
