Matrix Note:
Side two of the LP was to contain the reference number 71-157 in the runoff area along with the matrix. The number was erroneously entered as 71-156. To fix the error, the numeral 6 has been scratched out and the numeral 7 added.

Background:
There has always been confusion as to the source tape for the fourteen tracks on this LP. According to the LP notes the tracks are a mixture of songs from the Minnesota tape, studio outtakes, and Witmark demos.
While 'Naomi wise' is certainly from the 12-22-61 Minneapolis tape, all of the other tracks are from the Freewheelin' recording sessions that ran through the second half of 1962.

Information:
A great quality 1971 release from TMQ
As with all of the early TMQ releases, there are several variables associated with this early package.
The inserts are found in various colors. The jackets can be white, beige, or any of the early pastel colors; and are found with or without the foil logo sticker on front. As was usual, the title has been rubber-stamped with the standard print. The vinyl is black, or translucent red, blue, yellow, or green. Copies have also been found in a half clear/ half green due to the vinyl not completely mixing.
And finally, the labels are either the early large 1/2, or the TMQ side pig logo.
Two other unique package issues of this release are the "Dead-head" release and the "Promo" release.
The "Deadhead" reissue carries the deadhead logo alongside the Pig logo on an original 8 X 10 insert. It also has the ref. number 502. The vinyl is a clear based multicolored splatter with no labels.
The "Promo" issue has a white sleeve that has been stamped "Promotion-Not for sale" It has a typed orange 6 X 8 insert with the 502 ref. number, but no pictures. It mistakenly lists Naomi wise as 'Adams Spring'. The vinyl is blue with a large 1/2 label (As in above photo).
