Tracks: Crash On The Levee (Down In The Flood) It Takes A Lot To Laugh All Along The Watchtower Simple Twist Of Fate Silvio Tombstone Blues Seeing The Real You At Last Every Grain Of Sand Stuck Inside Of Mobile Knockin' On Heaven's Door Review: This is a soundboard recording in excellent quality. As with Watching The River Flow, the show is cut to 10 songs to fit on one disc, but they're not the same 10. This time the three acoustic songs which came between Tombstone Blues and Seeing The Real You have been left out. This is a slick and powerful... but soulless band, and most of the arrangements are extended to no great purpose (with lots of average guitar solos). As with so many discs from 90's concerts, only the vocals are special. I could hardly disagree more with the reviewer of Guided by the Eternal Light who made it a Bob's Best. The package, similarly, is all style and little substance. The beautifully produced eight page booklet concerns the tour (and the one after) as a whole, and seems to have no connection what-so-ever with this particular concert. There is a weird effect on some of the photos that make them look as if they have stuck to a previous page, and pulled ink off. Joni Mitchell, Bruce Springsteen and Mick Jagger appear only on the photos... not on the disc. There are a couple of words misspelled in the song titles. © 2003 Colmx edited by CD Pinkerton bobsboots.com |
