The venue is relatively new to the trading community. It was long known that Dylan had played Sydney in 1966, but few had ever heard a tape. I can only assume that this pristine copy surfaced during the 1998 three track master restoration sessions that produced the official "Live 1966" CD. The recording was made from a mono line feed from the film crew, and recorded at 15 ips onto the sweet, swiss made Nagra tube deck. The track listing is the same as that "RAH" show, with the exception of the final track. In fact, Rattlesnake configured the tracks on this set to replicate the official release. The package is stunning as well, with a metallic silver background, silk screen printed discs, and a booklet packed full of vintage black and white period photos. © 2002 CD Pinkerton - bobsboots.com |
