The performance might be, at times, somewhat uninspired, but it is far from unenjoyable. Bob's extended guitar solos (that I usually don't care for live) seem to work a little better with a second listen. The horn section adds a sweet sound on a couple numbers. The recording, however, is a little too thin, and a little too far away. The audience around the recorder proves why you shouldn't talk at a Dylan show. "What's that guy on the end playing?.. Oh, it's a ukulele." "Play somebody must get stoned!". The package aesthetics are fair as well, but the front cover is week. Fortunately, it can be flipped to reveal a nicer looking photo of Dylan and Setzer. Download covers for printing © 2002 Craig Pinkerton Bobsboots.com
