This latest batch spans the European leg of the '07 tour from late March to early May. For many years now, Crystal cat has been the gold standard for commercial bootlegs, and this latest installment is just another example of the laborious and thoughtful effort they put into their releases. Just when you think they can't possibly top their past issues, they raise the bar that much further, and put forth a beautiful series of titles. The photos from this title, and all the titles from this recent lot, are crystal clear, as is the sound. This is a good performance from Denmark, but without any real heart-stoppers. The well performed To Ramona can easily be the proposed highlight, and many of the set-list staples are strongly executed. The filler from the fall ’06 leg is excellent and fills out the second disc nicely. Once again, both sonically and aesthetically, Crystal Cat gives credence to the industry and a thrill to the collector. © 2008 K Schweiger / bobsboots.com |
