It is relatively rare in that only about 500 numbered copies were manufactured. It claims to be outakes from Real Live. It is indeed from the same shows, contains a few gems, and a more interesting selection of songs than the official release. It is from a soundboard recording, but likely taken through an open air mic from a playback session. The sound quality is not as good as a soundboard should be. The songs have been spliced together to form an impressive sounding concert. The song times listed on the back are correct, but there is no indication as to which song is from which date. Highlights include newly reworked lyrics on Simple Twist Of Fate and a couple of nice duets with Van Morrison (despite the confusion of It's All Over Now Baby Blue. © 2006 CD Pinkerton bobsboots.com |
