The recording seems to be taken from Dylan's monitor mix, since the vocals dominate a bit more than anything else. This particular CD release is an upgrade of an old CD release "Oh, The Streets Of Rome", where the above mentioned feature was even much more prominent. Nevertheless, the music comes through loud and clear, and the upfront vocals only serve to highlight what a passionate vocal performance this is. A far more worthwhile and enjoyable experience than the official Real Live compilation drawn from this particular tour. A 'must have' disc from a period that is under represented in most collections. Packaging is as a mini-LP. The cardboard gatefold cover opens to reveal sleeves that house thick paper 'Shamrock' dust covers. These generic Label logo covers protect the enclosed disc. © 2002 Mike McGarr Edited by CD Pinkerton / bobsboots |
