They have followed the lead of other manufacturers in creating themed releases. This series of four includes images of tour posters on the back tray liners and event ticket stubs on the insert back. This is a remarkably clean recording. The music is blended and mixed extremely well in perfect proportion to Dylan's vocals. Sonically, while perhaps not being the very best recording of the four new releases, it is not far from it. Every title is crisp and clear and each concert has its strong moments. It's purely a matter of personal preference as to which of the four to single out as the best. The softly inspired Lay, Lady, Lay and Visions Of Johanna are standouts. © 2008 CD Pinkerton - bobsboots.com © 2008 CD Pinkerton - bobsboots.com |
