This set is more evidence. There is no connection with these two shows, and no reason that they should be packaged together. The final two tracks of the German show are missing, but appear on Best Wishes due to a mistake. The vocals are powerful and up front, but the overall sound lacks crispness. The spine tingling acoustic performances here will simply melt you. The final two songs from the 1987 Netherlands show feature Roger McGuinn, but they have been completely deleted. A major problem with the info, on this one. The back states that the track info is included on an inlay card... but there is none. No info. This is a relatively rare release, being manufactured in a quantity of only 320 pieces. Watchtower simultaneously released four small quantity double sets in 1997. The other three titles are Best Wishes, Dallas, Texas, & Just The Girls. The titles all use the same lackluster packaging. The fronts are all identical except for the small title. All of them have information mistakes. All silver discs are generic as well, with a full painted black face and a WTP logo and disc title in white. Each set housed in a double jewel box. © 2000 Craig Pinkerton Bobsboots.com |
