Bob is in top form. The vocals are powerful. The recording is crisp and clear with but a hint of audience too close to the mic in-between songs. The highlights include a dark and moving Blind Willie McTell that flows a little differently than the original, a perfect version of Love Sick, and an incredible acoustic Tangled Up In Blue that is among the best in years. The bonus material is just as incredible, with the highlight being a surrealistic Señor. Bob's voice is deliciously raged, worn and road weary throughout. Rattlesnake has gone all out on this labor of love. Great aesthetics and photos grace the 12 page enclosed booklet. Custom discs, a photo of the concert poster, and a write up of the show and tour make this one a must have. © 2006 CD Pinkerton - bobsboots.com © 2006 CD Pinkerton - bobsboots.com |
