It's also an iffy title. The track list is great, the performance is very good, but the sound quality leaves quite a bit to be desired. The three shows of this set were released on four CDs, in two separate companion volumes. The unimaginative titles are designated as "Vol. 1" and "Vol. 2". The package aesthetics speak for themselves. Thin paper with low quality print. The photos are cut and pasted onto the front and back covers. Even though it's a fairly good paste job, it still takes on a cheesy look. The worst offense of all is that instead of creating new photos for this set, the manufacturer simply reversed the photos from the companion volume. It would have spoken better for them had they simply used the same images. The wrong month is listed on the back as well. The shows were July, not June. © 2002 Craig Pinkerton Bobsboots.com |
