In The Life
source: England, May 1966 Tracks: Liverpool: Tell Me Mama I Don't Believe You Baby Let Me Follow You Down Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues Sheffield: Leopard Skin Pillbox Hat One Too Many Mornings Birmingham: Ballad Of A Thin Man Manchester: Tell Me Mama I Don't Believe You Baby Let Me Follow You Down Leopard Skin Pillbox Hat One Too Many Mornings Ballad Of A Thin Man Like A Rolling Stone Review: Someone has done a fairly good job of computer colorizing a black and white photo of Dylan and Danko onstage at the Olympia, for the front cover of this title. As the name implys, the all electric soundboard tracks were recorded over a one week period during the May, 1966 tour of England. Of course, the Manchester show is now an official release. This version of Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues was also officially released on Masterpieces (although not in the USA). The first seven tracks were available on the boot 'Play Fucking Loud'. There remains a bit of confusion over this release, as the disc itself is silkscreened with the title In 1966 There Was. This same disc was, in fact, released by that title as well. © 2002, 2006 CD Pinkerton - bobsboots.com |
