Of the four, this one is the lowest quality sound recording (although not by much). Mostly due to the large, energetic crowd that is a little more present in this recording than in the Summer show. The cover is nice with well laid out images, fonts, and color schemes. The performance is wonderful. Nashville headliner Marty Stuart sits in with the band for the entire show, and there's a bit of magic in the air because of it. Marty adds a lot of color to the songs, and Bob puts his heart into the show because of it. Not Dark Yet is magic. Thinman chooses the gloriously gloomy title from a line in the song. Every song seems to have an extra twinkle to it. The bonus tracks are from the Simon portion of the same show. A historic show, sweet performance, great quality, and a nice package all add up to a title that should be in your collection. © 2008 CD Pinkerton - bobsboots.com |
