The Live Dylan 1987 Bulldog
By 1987 the awful truth was taking hold that vinyl was on it's last legs as far as mass production was concerned. The CD would soon be king. These changes were starting to take hold of the boot industry as well. One of the earlier CD releases was this quasi-legitimate title that came out on both LP and CD. The end of what had been a way of life to several generations had already been set into motion.

This great 1987 boot on the Italian Label Bulldog, is a nice looking package with a cartoon front cover and full
concert information on back cover.  This guasi-legit piece boasts all of the features of a major label release. Good vinyl, great sound, full info cover, and full printed labels.
This LP was mastered from a quiet, great sounding copy of  In 1966 There Was, and pressed from all new stamping plates. 1st rate !!
It was also released as a limited edition picture disc, and a CD.
Part of Bulldog's "It was more than 20 years ago" series, they put this banner across the top of all their releases to show their compliance to the twenty year Italian copyright laws. As most of the western world upholds a longer copyright, the LP was not legal to be exported.
